On Monday 19th March 2018 was a milestone in Svatantra's journey of educating poorest of the poor.
The Village of Tetriya in Budhgere Village GAYA houses over 100 families from the Manjhi community.The maha dalit community is the bottom most in the centre & income pyramid of the countrywith most family income levels between 5000/- per month.
30 children from the village have taken the first step towards formal education in Vidyadaan School's new unit opened in Gaya Today.
To inculcate good hygiene habits parents come to school with the children brushing their teeth, bathing them & leaving them in the care of young teachers.
The first day was fun-filled with children singing, dancing & playing games amongst themselves.
